We Live in Singapura

The new media provides the solution for Singaporeans to express themselves through videos. It can be amusing and or to convey messages to the audiences at large, but still uniquely differentiating the identity of the producer. Videos such as those made by our local talent, Hossen Leong who composes some local songs, like “We Live in Singapura” that is catchy and distinctly Singaporean. Videos like these serves not only as amusement, it can also educate the public about the public image that they may portray to the foreigners and thus remind the public to watch themselves. Of course, there are also some videos by local producers that are discouraging, or sometimes an extremist view of a new policy or a policy in place by Singapore. However, this is also a way for Singaporeans to express their unhappiness and thus, a feedback by the society on the policy.
