Recently it has been observed that certain entities have issued misleading advertisements for luring innocent Indian Students for admissions in MBBS from foreign universities. It is also mentioned in such advertisements that ‘recognition of degree by MCI would be in accordance with MCI Act 13 (4B) through screening test’. It has also been mentioned that the degrees will be offered by the foreign universities with study partly in India and partly in foreign universities.
Attention of the public is drawn that MCI has not permitted any foreign university to establish a campus in India for imparting medical education. No foreign university has been permitted by the MCI to start medical course leading to degree equivalent to MBBS in India or to establish such a campus in India. These medical degrees are not approved by the MCI.
