It states that parents also does have a role to play, which is indeed the truth as youths are easily influenced from young and hence parents have the role to guide them.
I agree that parents should play an active role in guiding their children, as they act as a role model to them. However I disagree to the idea of having mentors looking out to this kids as they most likely to be at the rebelious stage and likely to repeats their mistakes again due to the continous monitoring of these
mentors. Instead more talks thet make they feel remorseful of what they did is more effective because this will change their mindset.
I believe that teenagers can be easly deter but it is a matter how long they remain deter. Hence it is more effective if parents & schools teach them the implications to change their midsets instead of using fear to control them.
jiajian 10s23Aslindahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16099951776196914896noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3490670654357837910.post-13069515588155093392010-06-12T13:52:56.548+08:002010-06-12T13:52:56.548+08:00I strongly agree what the author said, where paren...I strongly agree what the author said, where parents and schools play a very important role in guiding the children to not committing crime. Schools should have more stringent rules for the students and punish them more severely if they did something wrong. Similarly, parents should not pamper their kids too much while shielding them. Instead, they should punish them and let them take their own responsibility for the crimes they did.
Finally, i think that these teenagers themselves should know their own limits and should not disobey the rules. I believe that if all these are done, the crime rate would significantly drop in the next few years.Eliza Isahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02929567038142369616noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3490670654357837910.post-71473777768782784812010-06-06T11:42:25.954+08:002010-06-06T11:42:25.954+08:00Personally, I agree with the writer that parents s...Personally, I agree with the writer that parents should not leave their parental duties to others. Though it is true that their workload might be heavy, it is, afterall, their assumed role of being the caregiver and moral mentor of their children. Furthermore, since the family is the basic unit of a society, it is therefore important to maintain its function of imparting values to the younger ones to ensure peace in the society.
On the other hand, the government has decided to step in as well, due to the increase in juvenile crimes recorded in the past few years. Being able to implement measures to deter juvenile offenders would mean that there would be less juvenile crimes. However, if these people obey the law out of fear rather than due to their ideological beliefs, it is a question of whether they are morally inclined or not to not do harm onto others.Aslindahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16099951776196914896noreply@blogger.com
